Designed
to resemble an ancient Polynesian temple (marae), this
resort features all the conveniences and amenities travelers
have come to expect. The resort is located just minutes
from the airport and features a white sand beach and
extensive landscaping. It is one of Tahiti's first resort
hotels and provides panoramic views of Moorea. The hotel
has one of the largest collections of ancient South Pacific
artifacts in the world on display. There are two restaurants
offering Japanese, Polynesian and French cuisine, with
Polynesian dancers performing several nights a week during
the dinner hour. There are also two bars that provide
musical entertainment and are popular local gathering
spots. Recreational activities include deep sea fishing,
island tours, helicopter tours, horseback riding, 4wd
safaris, tennis, golf, driving range and hiking. Water
activities including canoeing, scuba diving, snorkeling,
sailing, Dolphin Watch and shark feeding.
